K2 SPEEDCONSULT 2016-2018 MEP construction and project management delivered for AUSTRIA UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL ST.PÖLTEN AUSTRIA
On 7 levels with almost 60.000m2 u. a. two basement levels offering approx. 255 parking spaces for patients and visitors, including family parking and parking spaces for persons with reduced mobility as well as a bicycle cellar with direct access to the public cycle path network. Through the integration of Club 81, the club for the disabled and non-disabled, into the building design at the University Hospital St. Pölten, together target-group-specific construction measures are developed and the greatest possible accessibility guaranteed.
The ground floor forms a compact functional unit consisting of accident and emergency care, a central reception center, the Institute of Medical Radiology and a central ambulance area as well as the Institute of Physical Medicine. On the upper level, the two in-house institutes for laboratory medicine and microbiology & hygiene are located.
Level 2 – planned as an intensive level – includes an OR group with 8 central ORs, and a recovery area and three 12-bed anaesthesiological intensive care units will be set up in one functional unit.
Approximately three identical storeys comprise the bed tract with the core assignments for the accident, surgery, cardiac surgery and neurosurgery departments. Level 6 serves as the technical center for the floors below. In the shortest possible connection to the Erstversorgungsbereiche is built as the top level of the house C, a new helipad landing. The commissioning of the house C finally takes place in 2018.
